New mandates...new responsibilities...new tax issues – and new penalties.

The landmark healthcare reform bill signed by President Obama on March 23 is packed with complicated consequences for all sectors of the nation’s health system. And perhaps no one faces more burdens (and penalties) than employers.

No longer is healthcare a political topic you can ignore. The bill has become law, and you need to understand its impact and the steps your organization needs to take to comply.

Get up to speed on your new responsibilities by signing up for our special webinar, Health Care Reform Compliance Workshop: Your Questions Answered on April 27 from 1:00 to 2:15 p.m. ET. Learn (in plain English!) the specific steps employers of all sizes need to take to comply with these regulations before they are fully enforced.

Benefit law experts Amy Gordon and Susan Nash of McDermott Will & Emery in Chicago will discuss topics such as:

  • Automatic enrollment in health plans. Which employers are required to offer coverage? At what levels? What penalties could you face?
  • Benefit design changes required in dependent eligibility, preventive care, lifetime and annual limits, and pre-existing condition exclusions.
  • New reporting and disclosure requirements for employers.
  • Tax issues in connection with Cadillac plans, Medicare Part D subsidies and health flexible spending accounts.

Some provisions of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act don’t take effect until 2014. But many others are kicking in now, including changes to dependent eligibility. You MUST understand this short-term timetable and how your company must respond.

If you make any decisions on employee healthcare at your organization, this webinar is a great primer on your new duties.

You’ll gain a better understanding of the new law and implications for how to offer...maintain...and manage your employees’ health benefits. You’ll walk away with specific recommendations on ways to address these reforms and prepare for the coming changes.

FREE Bonus! The first 50 registrants for Health Care Reform Compliance Workshop will receive an exclusive White Paper – Understanding the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act – absolutely free.

Credit Hours:

This event has been approved for 1.25 credit hours toward PHR and SPHR recertification through the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI).
