About the Authors:

Carson F. Dye, FACHE, is an executive search consultant with Witt/Kieffer, which conducts chief executive officer, senior executive, and physician executive searches for a variety of healthcare organizations. His consulting experience includes leadership assessment, organizational design, and physician leadership development. He also conducts board retreats and provides counsel in executive employment contracts for a variety of client organizations.

Jacque J. Sokolov, MD, is chairman and chief executive officer of SSB Solutions, Inc., a healthcare management, development, and investment company. He previously held and currently holds academic appointments and advisory board responsibilities in the schools of medicine, business, and public health at Harvard University; the Massachusetts Institute of Technology; the University of Pennsylvania; the University of California, Los Angeles; and the University of Southern California.
