Marie R. Dufresne
Marie R. Dufresne is a senior consultant and national benefits practice leader for the Hay Group's Southwest Region. She is responsible for business development and ensuring that each client receives the appropriate range of high quality consulting. Specifically, she is involved in projects ranging from development of the Total Reward strategies for various organizations, in multiple industries, to development and implementation of compensation and benefit programs both in the U.S. and globally, and leadership development training and coaching.
Dufresne has twenty-five plus years of human resource consulting experience and over thirty years of Group Benefits experience. She has worked with clients on Reward design and implementation programs as well as serving as a "People" manager and developer both with clients and within Hay.
Dufresne has conducted seminars and workshops on various aspects of employee benefits for NAIW, the N.Y. Benefit Managers Seminar Group, the Independent Insurance Agents, and the New York Business Group on Health, in addition to various company sponsored seminars. She is also interviewed on a regular basis by leading healthcare publications as well as the New York Times.
Dufresne has a Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in Mathematics. She is a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) and a Certified Benefits Professional (CBP). She also received the Global Reward Professional (GRP) designation from World at Work.
Philip Micali
Philip Micali is founder and principal of bWell International, Inc., a benefits consultancy and education services company. He is a pioneer in introducing consumerism to healthcare and wellness through his managed care, behavioral health/EAP, disease management, and consumer-driven health plan development and management experiences in the last 22 years.
Micali has developed and implemented innovative programs in many of the Fortune 500 companies and multiple state and federal government agencies, both in the U.S. and Europe. He has held leadership positions at Value Health, Merit Behavioral, Blue Cross and Blue Shield and Lumenos, one of the nation’s leading and pioneering consumer-driven health plans, recently acquired by Wellpoint.
Micali is a visiting professor for the Masters in International Health Management, Economics and Policy program at the Bocconi University in Milan, Italy. He is also an active advisory board member of the New York Business Group on Health, as well as the Journal of Disease Management and Health Outcomes.
Micali received a health economics and organizational behavior degree from the University of Michigan.
